NICO WILLIAMS

Nico Williams (ᐅᑌᒥᐣ) is a new media, geometric beadwork artist who resides in Montréal, Quebec. He is Anishinaabe, from Aamjiwnaang. Williams began experimenting with bead-work in 2015 using Japanese glass Delicas, natural materials and seed beads. He has actively been focusing on the revitalization and evolution of beadwork. In January 2019, he travelled to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he became a core member of the Contemporary Geometric Beadwork (CGB) team. CGB is an open source architectural beadwork project from Kate McKinnon and a worldwide team of innovators.
